I don't get why some teams aren't riding with more riders. Lotto and Intermarché aren't even riding yet. Maybe De LIe and Girmay don't feel good but still.

I think UAE messed up there. Surely try and send the likes of McNulty or Narvaez in the group instead of Sivakov?

Even if UAE aren’t going for Pogacar surely they’d rather Narvaez give this finish a go than have Sivakov try and out-punch this group.

Pogačar isn't focused on winning this race IMO . He's very competitive and if he has the opportunity he'll take it but this for him is more like a warm up for the Worlds. He obviously has a much better chance winning in Montreal based on the course.

He hasn't won this one, I'm sure he wants to win it. And he still can, it's kinda still ideal if other teams bring this closer so he can jump.

I agree , like I said he's competitive and probably wants to win everything but it's not his main focus.

Peloton is small and it's still 50 seconds. Not enough domestiques anymore. Race had been way hard than previous years.

I thought Pogacar was dropped for a second there but he's just there in front of Wout.

It's still possible, throw everything at reducing the gap this lap and then counterattack on the next time up the climb. Agree that setting up a sprint may be difficult at this stage.

OMG, these announcers. "Alice do you think there's ANY chance of the peloton coming back at this point?" Gee-whiz, 1 minute advantage with 25 km to go over a peloton that includes Pogacar.

It's possible but not when it's jusst gonna be like 1 EF, 1 Visma, 1 Jayco or something. No idea why Lotto is waiting unless De LIe just told them he doesn't have the legs.

Anyways best edition so far of Quebec, and it's not necessarily because of the parcours change just because teams finally started attacking early.
