It's monotonous now but might get interesting later?

The Montreal race is definitely more interesting .

It's huge that Montreal got the Worlds next year. The planners wanted to include the Olympic stadium as part of the route but as is very typical in Montreal it will be "under construction". There are 2 seasons here Winter and Under Construction.

Anyway the route they have decided on is a good one. It incorporates the regular Monreal route with a trip off the Island to Ile Notre Dame and F1 circuit.

The weather is indeed perfect and at this point there is a similar forecast for Montreal on Sunday.

No one wants to ride or watch a race in the rain.

In Montreal we have such a long and fairly brutal winter that I consider May through the end of September to be summer.:D September is lovely, really nice warm weather sometimes actually hot with blue skies and sun most of the time.

The young Canadian riders have dropped off except for one still holding on at the front.

One just dropped off holding his hamstring.

Against Pogacar??? He is racing very well. When riders do something different to avoid Pogacar's dominance, we still criticize.
Pogacar has never won Quebec, and this is his first race since the Tour.
Seeing the UAE riders attacks, it doesn't seem like he's so confident of winning today.

I don't think Alaphilippe will win a sprint is against De Lie, given how De Lie has been in the last races.

He's doing exactly the opposite isn't he? If he pulls this move has a good chance to stay away until Pogi attacks across. If he doesn't pull Jumbo and Ef catch the move, Posi and WvA attack and this smartass finishes 40th or something like that.
No, he is not wasting any energy and he is 45 seconds ahead. Do you think the gap will increase a lot just because he is pulling? Of course not. UAE will nuke the final 40 km no matter what.
