Of course, the Normans were actually Vikings, so the French never invaded, but we'll let that pass.

In fact it was the Dutch who were the last to conquer Britain. Gave them parliamentary sovereignty and a Bill of Rights and everything. You're welcome Brits. :p

The Us has far more similarities to Europe than the UK. Britain is a whole different beast altogether. I definitely do not see it as Europe.
