If he has a super strong train of 3 or 4, who can drag him to the final 250-300 meters at speeds too high for anyone else to match he can then rocket to the line. He is very good at this, but he is a one trick pony. Finishing a 3 week GT and acquiring some humility may change that. Lets see,

He was the fastest man today. Went early on an uphill finish and still won by a 3/4 bike length. Did you see the overhead shots? What he was doing looked like a completely different sport than the other sprinters.

Cav will gain humility as he ages - he's still acting a bit immaturely but never fails to thank his team for their hard work. At the end of the day I think he would have been pretty impressed by Thor's efforts over the mountains and would bet he gives him the congratulations he deserves should he retain green til' the end.

Thor the God of Blunder is so mixed up he was SHUVDOFH again today. Cav shows how its done again, with humility. 5 in 1 TdF is not bad for the lad - may be more to come at end of play Sunday. Friends again - respect to both.

Cavendish is the best sprinter. Hushovd is a better all round cyclist and better points gatherer as a result.

Cav's been crediting his team all along. Whenever he is asked, he always gives all the credit to his team, especially today. I like the guy, I wish Thor hadn't protested, but afterward, he went out ahead and earned those extra points that Cav lost because of it, so it looks like the 14 points won't make a difference in the end.

Well unfortunately they did make a difference.
Some stupid officials decision.
It was not fair to CAV and certainly not to Thor. He did what he needed to do today but if it was closer maybe he could have picked up some earlier points today and still won the jersey. It would have made the finale even more exciting, watching the leadout knowing how closeThor would have to come to CAV to stay in green etc. To the people who don't like Cav today was probably pretty disappointing, but if he was not relegated it would have changed the strategy. He would have had to keep Thor from Picking up early points and maybe the train would not have been as fresh at the end.
Garmin could have probably got to the final corner first with alot of momentum instead of Renshaw beating them to it etc etc
Too bad Garmin didn't try some of these tactics earlier in the tour
