Remco coming from he is argueably the second best guy overall in the world and got everything to prove, the same cant be said about the other guy so it cant go both ways, no. One guy is dunking on the other everytime in the exact same manner as he just dunked on Rondel, it cant go both ways if you cant see the difference thats on you.

So the second best rider has “everything to prove”. lol! So in your mind, the only rider who has nothing to prove is the #1 rider?

I don't think it's that bad, considering Catalunya doesn't have any MTF in the first 2 stages.

Also like @AmRacer says, Sanremo should be the priority. It's a damned Monument, and it's one where he may have the best shot at beating Pogacar and it has the lowest opportunity cost of any big race.

He has absolutely zero shot at winning M-R.

Pog fan boys just want him to be in every race Pog enters so their guy looks even better. Remco is the only rider not allowed - in their minds - to choose his own career path. He must instead at every opportunity lose to Pog instead.

Can’t wait to see Vingo and Rog racing M-R even tho they have no chance.

If the riders prefers to ride in the mountains than on MSR... that's his choice.
Also in our days of marginal gains, riding a 300km classic (even with an easy course) is still a disadvantage compared to e.g. Vingo and he's probably planned to stay at altitude as late as possible making two travels in a few days another disadvantage compared to some others.

Well Pogacar only rides 11 races this spring which includes Romandie, and Evenepoel 25. But Evenepoel is ducking Pogacar...

Jonas is okay, but Remco doesn't ride races where Pogi and Mathieu are the favourites.

But Pog and MdvP are riding very specific programs. Particularly Pog this spring - he's hugely cut back on his race days so that he can target very specific races and hopefully avoid the burnout he seemed to have at last year's Tour. I feel like it's pretty fair for Remco not to ride Strade/ Flanders/ Roubaix, given the risk of crashing and the fact that he has other big goals. He's still riding Liege though, and Pog will definitely be the bookies favourite there. The only one I really wanted to see Remco at is MSR, but equally I get not prioritising what is essentially a roll of a dice kind of race.

Yeah. He told that german television after the TTT. He already had it during the TTT, so it shouldn't be too bad.
