Pericas isn't better than Morgado at anything, except high-mountain. And today isn't high-mountain stage. Morgado isn't having his best day, he's much better than Pericas.

I think that information was incorrect.
They were referring to 6-hour efforts, which fits with his performance in races like Flanders.

Morgado always said his dream is to win the Tour, but it's clear he's a rider for Monument efforts, not mountain stages.
