Well, within QuickStep there were thoughts of Magnier already giving them a big score here on Mallorca. The kid is very talented, despite very little road experience.

Relax, if nothing else, you can get a job at Dutch Eurosport. It took them 5 minutes to realise it wasn't Lamperti.

I want to believe aliphilippe looks good this early because he’s building back up to his former glory. But it could also be that he’s coming in hot early this year and that’s his peak.

Good win by Magnier & QS - good lead out by Lamperti who I thought was going for the win at one point. First ones into that last corner and no one could catch them.
Yep, 46.3 km/h over 181 km by a 19 year old to win is certainly eye-brow raising.
