Let's go for an Intermarche double with Thijssen scoring the win.
By the way, good performance yesterday from Herregodts (he was very close to join Aramburu and Bettiol) and also Page, managing to survive the climbs.

Démare versus Thijssen versus Dainese today, anyone else would be a surprise. Kristoff isn't fast enough anymore, it's too flat for Van den Berg and Aular, and Lamperti needs a bit more time before he can beat the lot of them.

Nice win for Soudal-Quickstep, perfect leadout. Only 19, Paul Magnier
Rejuvenated Wolfpack?

It was embarrassing for the bunch that two neo-pros in their first race day in the professional ranks could boss the final.

You don't think this result is a surprise?

Slightly more seriously, surely it isn't weird that I expected Soudal to sprint with the guy they announced as their #2 sprinter and not the guy who was scheduled to spend half the spring doing U23 stuff (that might change after today though)?
Well, within QuickStep there were thoughts of Magnier already giving them a big score here on Mallorca. The kid is very talented, despite very little road experience.

Relax, if nothing else, you can get a job at Dutch Eurosport. It took them 5 minutes to realise it wasn't Lamperti.

„Moved“ from Lamperti thread, comment by myself, better be written here:

Today, Mallorca, 181kms, 1124 vertical meters, ridden at 46.2kms/hr average speed!…:

I dare to say: Never, never, never ever will this be true…

Really „weak“ startlist, they do not, not, not race 181kms, with 1124 vertical meters, at 46.2kms/hr average. Just not possible, imho.

Possible MAYBE with stronger tailwind, all race long. Otherwise, impossible, imho…

Heh, both the Polish and the FRENCH commentators thought the American has won at first, even after viewing the close up of the winner :)

Good win by Magnier & QS - good lead out by Lamperti who I thought was going for the win at one point. First ones into that last corner and no one could catch them.
Yep, 46.3 km/h over 181 km by a 19 year old to win is certainly eye-brow raising.
