I did helpfully include a (working) link in the post I made...

Yes indeed, and thank you...

I was merely searching for additional information as to the LADS...

My first result initiated a little crank.. It was not to offend or any of the sort...

After the fact i found that a it was due to new infastructure...

Not a change, at least not one we know about, but.....

......has anybody else noticed that Sky's staggering decline coincided with Cookson taking over the UCI.

I would have thought that motorbike skills around the peloton would improve, but this does not appear to be the case.

Not sure. But, as much as we can estimate from climbing speeds during grand tours, almost everyone is slower in 2014. The outliers are Nibali's 2014 TdF compares well to Froome's 2013 power and if I recall correctly, Contador's power from some other TdF too.

There's a thread for each, with detailed arguments, so very likely all the answers to your questions are in there.

It is just a question of whether the coinciding is coincidence. Nobody doubts that something pretty odd is happening with Sky this season, do they?

Yeah. Didn't they start giving lessons to everyone who'd be driving around the Peloton (cars and motorbikes) last year? You'd imagine that Lesson Number One would be:

Do not hit the riders!

There is a very good person on twitter monitoring Cookson's reign as President of UCI with special attention to doping

https://twitter.com/Spitinthesoup/with_replies

Spit in the soup @Spitinthesoup ·
The new @UCI_cycling website isn’t very transparent either.

Ever tried to find something from before 2013 (the McQuaid/Verbruggen era)?

Cookson is doing what I guessed he would do, change very little except manage the sporting message better, just like all the other sports, ignore the doping and be as opaque as possible about everything that reflects negatively on the sport.

No wonder JV loves him.

They moved to a new content management system. (CMS)

Typically, when management decides these things, low price of renting hosted CMS is all they need to know. Except, their content is trapped and IT's warnings regarding non-portability are ignored. Fast forward a few years, the need for a new CMS has risen. Managment is shocked the old content cannot be "saved" and IT is blamed for "not providing backup."

I've been in both those meetings.

Porting would have been expensive and incredibly complex and imperfect at the end. Someone better spider whatever old content they can find... soon.
