Cheap Chinese carbon wheels

....are surprisingly good.

Braking is a bit snatchy because the width of the rim has slight variances, but mine are light, don't flex and spin up quickly.

Plus the make that cool sound, that we all love.

I got mine from carbonzone on ebay, but they were shipped direct from Dengfu.

Anybody else got some?

Never heard of them, but I'm always willing to try something new....especially if it's good quality and cheaper priced. :)
What kind of "slight variances" do the rims have? Is it very obvious?

Its not even a millimetre but it is obvious when you brake.

For time-trialling these wheels would be a no-brainer.

A mate built up some Reynolds copies for his MTB. Loves them and running very well, I wouldn't trust though. Although, I run massive rims built up with scaffolding poles on my steel MTB so you can tell how much I trust lightweight stuff...

Well, after extensive testing I conclude that they make excellent value TT wheels where braking and cornering is not frequent.
For everyday riding they don't make sense.
