Yeah, looking back at Svidler's game from 2011... 26...Re2!! instead of 26...Qg3? straightaway was genius, distracting the Queen from the defense of c6, his only defense against mate on g2 in that continuation. The knock-out format really has been more exciting and has brought chess more notoriety overall, especially with the shorter time controls.
