I don't expect that @PuritoRodriguez will be very popular tomorrow after planning this for us! #LV2015 #QueenStage

TBH if I were to plan a Grand Tour stage I'd probably do something similar

Froome doesn't look too worried about today but it's a tricky stage. If he'll have a bad day yoyo tactic won't be enough,he might be out of contention after this one.I don't expect much from him today,i think he'll be in survival mode.

Really? If Chris Froome and to design a GT stage I'd expect it to be flat with a massive HC climb at the end, like Mont Ventoux or PSM, or 2 climbs at the end like a3 domaines. Those have been his best performances. When he is like that no one can catch him.

If Froome could make a GT stage, it would probably be a 45km ITT with a cat 3 climb in the middle

If Froome makes it out of this stage with less than a minute deficit to Aru, Quintana and Majka, I think he wins the vuelta.

But if it's 100% flat, Froome's definitely not winning if Tony turns up, whereas with a cat 3 in there, Froome suddenly becomes favourite. And you say that TT is not 'Contador Proof' - well what is Contador proof exactly? A super steep 30% 750m hill at the end? That's not exactly Froome's cup of tea either (he's still good at them, but even if Froome beat Purito the other day, Purito would still be the man to beat there)

A flat TT would suit Froome best compared to his GC rivals, but not compared to his TT rivals. In 2013, he gained 2 minutes on everyone in the flat TT and only 9 seconds on Contador and 10 on Purito in the hilly TT, although he did say something about conserving energy a bit. He won the hilly one, but made the biggest difference for GC on the flat one.

There's another mountain stage similar to this where those riders can take time on him. I do think they need to take some time on him here though. If he's stronger than Quintana and Aru in a stage like this, it's pretty much game over IMO.

Would have liked to see how Froome did without crashing but that's sport. Spotted limping back to the bus, and as we know he doesn't handle crashes too well.

Not to be :( Still his chances to even podium this were low anyway.I'm curious if he'll be able to carry on,i hope he'll do it if the injuries aren't too bad.

Would have Crushed the others today, sealing GC. Low Podium chance, that's a joke right ?
