Come on . Even at the Vuelta when Bertie was winning he just rode tempo up the last climb "its the same every race" he was never going to beat Bertie riding like that so why not grab the race by the bal$s and go for a long one? So he got a podium but it was a boring podium and he was never a threat to Bertie. BUT ,,if he attacked a bit earlier on one of the stages ,really lay it the line who knows what would have happened? That's what I want to see. I hate riders who settle for 2nd. lay it on line go for it blow the race apart. Landis did it I reckon Froome could do it.
I'd hate to see cycling through your eyes

Well that's fine . You can watch your boring wheel sucker team tactics and I will watch attacking aggressive riders who make the excitement happen and who blow the race apart.
Watching sky is like watching a pursuit race on the track round and round and for most parts boring.
I want to see if Froome is more than a 1 trick pony.

It would be interesting to see a fully fit Froome lose a bunch'o'time early in a GT in crosswinds or getting caught behind a crash to see how he rides, the form just wasn't there in the 2014 Vuelta.

I believe Froome is largely perceived as boring because the competition hasn't been there in the tours he has won, just as I think Contador was hoping to make the Giro boring in 2015. He's certainly more punchy than Wiggins.

Praying for fully fit Contador, Quintana, Aru and Froome this year!

looking at Bertie's inconsistent form last year I'm not confident he can get into 2014 pre tour form. " I hope he can"
I'm not confident That Froome can sustain a whole season without health issues he just seems to ride great in bits and pieces is form is a bit erratic at best.
Quintana is just not aggressive enough and needs to take the race on and not be afraid to lose.
Aru is always aggressive never sacred to attack and seems to stay healthy.
I think the awesome showdown we wanted, Froome against Bertie both at their best is not going to happen.

I think too much emphasis is place on winning in cycling. I can give a lot of respect when riders get the best result possible, even if it is not the top step of the podium. For example, Contador's 2015 TDF was laudable because he fought through the last week on legs that were raced to exhaustion. The same goes for Froome in the Vuelta 2014, coming back from a long injury layoff to fight for second place.

Yes, AC coming back to win after fracturing his tibia was pretty impressive... :p

You could argue AC's had good / bad years (for him) every other year since 2010

Yeah but the combination of both contador an quintana. Froome is known to have a bad 3. week

I think that after risking a bit during the third weeks of his 2 Tour wins, he and his team (if he is in yellow again) will try not to be in the same situation next year

You'd think they'd try that after the 1st time already.

I'm sorry to disagree but Froome is known to have the race all but won at the 3rd week. I'm pretty sure he would do a magnificent 3rd week if he really needed to.

The question is will AC be able to keep up in the first 2 Weeks. this "riding into form (excuse) for the third week isn't working to well

Durainrider out riding with Froome and G . I must admit to a bit of jealousy. You just don't get these guys riding around South Tottenham.

Most of team SKY did an event last autumn where you go to ride with one or other of them
But if you really want to ride near by book your holiday to South of France for when they are not racing and you will see most of them there or else go to Majorca at same time as team camps

I guess no one would really want to ride to in the Nam alright

South Tottenham could hold the opening stage of next years tour :D
Swine :D lane what a evil little climb 25% I dropped a very famous woman cyclist up swine line , I won't say who.
I would say that she went up the first part just before the walls close in very fast. I mean fast.
Just round the corner is Highgate hill west. A few years ago I used to spend a lot of time training on that hill.
I had a phase when I kept bumping into Alistair Campbell. I used to let him have my wheel. The first time I saw him I just rode alongside and then took off just before it goes to the right near the top . I shouted back at him to shift into a easier gear so he could try and keep up . He shouted back " I don't have anymore fu%%ing gears" it was so funny.
We had a chat at at the top and whenever I bumped into him again I used to let him have my wheel.
He's well into cycling and even did interview with Armstrong. He does clip in.

I am no Froome fan but Durianrider (absolute W%#KER) makes Froome seem like a great guy
I can't think of many people who could beat Durianrider in terms of doucheyness.

Damn Straight!!! :D
