Those two posters you quoted answered the question “what kind of promotion have they gotten?” which was a question based on aruipsknis use of the word promotion...

I can guarantee you that the user Eddy Evenepoel replied to the question about WT promotion, so it’s pretty stupid to say he replied to something else. I think it’s also obvious that pastronef replied to the same question.

My English is not good enough to know what fleecing means.

Your English is outstanding, and the word can mean many things, but here it means deceive or to be disingenuous for benefit.
Fleecing is a great word used in the current American lexicon.
I am blown away with Germans, Dutch and Belgians that would say apologetically that their English was poor or limited, which was almost never true!!

If I had to use fleecing in a sentence about Chris Froome.. Chris Froome and his agent have been fleecing his current team well before signing and every minute since then. Froome is a fleecing specialist!!!!

We're fishing for compliments most of the time

So if Germans sucked at cycling, their bread, big ball, burnt on the outside, cucumber salad, Pils, weisse beer, raw pork spread on plain white roll makes them awesome!! If Belgians couldn't ride bikes, beer, chocolate and frits w curry ketchup and kebabs, have them high in my ranking system!! Holland has good looking, kind people and delicious beer as well and they use a knife to chop off beer head foam at busy places, inventing a tool to make beer faster to serve deserves admiration from all..and if that's not enough, speed skating greatness as a national trait!!
Maybe that's the positive exit strategy to all this, Chris Froome writing a cookbook with all the best mouthwatering recipes from Africa!!! No matter how bad that turned out, still better than his bike racing!! And I don't think that Brits have cookbooks, I mean how hard is it to make beans and toast and some tea?

That win is just around the corner I can feel it
To be fair, he doesn't talk about winning. Just riding. I could admire if he chooses to continue without a big contract. He always seemed like a great sportsman and as such as a good ambassador for cycling .[Clinic content deleted]

Froome is apparently till capable of doing just under 50 km/h average in a flat ITT.

I find it almost funny how all the talk about Froome 'declining' actually misses the point, i.e. I don't think he's declined. Well at least not the way some people believe. I think he's had this exact same level for 5 years straight now, there or thereabouts.

This was Froome's ITT result in the 2021 UAE Tour over 13km's

So he's marginally worse over a similar distance 4 years later. He just motors along in every race he does, putting in samey performances, year after year, with the outliers being his Sky years and that one Alpe d'Huez stage in his IPT years.

A minute off today's pace wasn't terrible but he doesn't look to have anything to give.
When he rode in support of Wiggins his head space was better..
So he doesn't have power,
TTs are not his thing, as pointed out he is a little down or about the same.. What's the use..why go to UAE? Looking for a victory? Top 10? Hard work in crosswinds? Lots of my criticism has to do with how much I think he is getting paid..he is an adequate domestique..if the price is right.. His team doesn't have any branding I am aware of.. So come see former TDF champion doesn't look like part of their marketing.. and I don't know if any race promoter is paying start money for Froome attendance

I dont think he was giving his BEST in that ITT, as he ido here working forbrhe team...Young riders, even working, need to show more.
He was yesterday at 7 km to the line at 70 km/h going from middle pack to the front with a team mate at his wheel. No bad for an endurace rider like him at his 40. Anyway I captured a picture with Pogacar at his side and Froome need 2 or 3 kilos to lose. Hope he think a little at himself today and keep pusingh at his best till the end after work to see more or less his current level. He Will be Next weekend in 2 races at France with the best riders of the team, so I am quite surprised.

Enough is Enough. Enough of so many devastating crashes. Time to stop, take care of his health and enjoy the time with his kids. They certainly need him.

He doesn't need to continue to get through this.
I agree with your sentiment but I wonder if he's one of those athletes who just wouldn't know what to do with himself once he quits the sport. Yes, he has a wife and kids, but a career is a career and cycling has been his life pretty much his entire adult life. So that would be a huge chunk that would go missing, some athletes handle it better than others.
