I know he doesn't win often but Greg Van Avermart's climbing form looked very good in the Tour. He sure deserves to win a big race like this.

Good call.

He certainly did look to be in superb shape there from what I saw. I'd love to see him have a dig tomorrow and make it stick.

stybar has one of the better chances coming from wallonie, is he targeting Poland?

I have no idea who I want to cheer for today which is an odd feeling. One of the outsiders making a good go of it would be nice.

I like the idea of the TS duo setting something up together, they seem to have reached a pretty good understanding as a unit of late.

Hope for a good ride from Nieve =)

We have our breakaway of the day. After 36km raced with 4'44" of advantage according to EITB... it's a solo escapade.

It is Amets Txurruka.

HAIL TO THE KING.

Is there a way to follow this before it comes on TV?

Km 100 a 119,2 km de meta:
6:10 para Amtes Txurruka, que sigue cabalgando en solitario. Se han apeado de la carrera dos corredores del Lampre-Merida: Davide Cimolai y Rafa Valls

Libertine might be correct after all :p

Just what this race needed, an absurdly steep wall near the finish to render everything before it virtually pointless.

RIP Jaizkibel.

It's not like the racing has been anything spectacular the last few years so they had to try something. But ya this doesn't seem like the best solution, this will probably just be a poorer version of the most recent editions of the GdL racing wise.

Nah, I liked the previous version, even if 2012 would have been a rather large group sprint without Sanchez

Last year was pretty good. But 2012 and even 2011 were a bit boring
