Gerrans is still injured, Lovquist probably a bit stuffed from the tour, I reckon its just a glorified training ride for them with the team selection.
 
It's sad though that Sky get scoffed at even when they're not taking a race that seriously. There are 7 or 8 other teams in this race for whom we could say "Where's XXXX?"

35 seconds isn't insurmountable for this chase group, but it looks like this front three will stay away. Sastre needs to attack on the climb, no way he can out-sprint the other two.

I think that was just because the front three were getting food from the cars, it's going back up again now that they are riding.
