Roglic earned a lot of points in my notebook. UAE disaster tactics. Should have at least try to keep it 2v1 as long as possible.

Vuelta is less than a month away so there is still time to improve but Ayuso's form at the moment is not very comforting for UAE. Will see how Getxo finishes but considering the competition top 5 is a must.

Last Italian Donostia podium was Rebellin in 2008, about time.

Del Toro and Christen both were great, both had excellent form and legs, Jan Christen looked like his cadence and body bounce on the bike was less than Del Toro who ended up popping..
Christen had an excellent chase but Ciccone was just better, he rode smart and his small pulse made a gap that none of them could close, Roglic rode conservative and smart as usual and squirted up past at the finish.. UAE pushed , forced the selection but couldn't finish the deal.. Ciccone deserving winner!!

Hirschi won many races in UAE because he was on the strongest team with many candidates to win.. Now he all alone, I’m not surprised.
