So 3 colombians who were not doing that well, were suddenly targeted by the french police and their hotel rooms searched. Apparently by the police without connection to the anti-doping authorities. How weird is this story ?
drugs unrelated to doping - cocaine heroin etc maybe

In the past if it's OCLAESP it has been in relation to a drug trafficking/doping ring. Does say the raids are part of a preliminary investigation rather than the result of one so could be nothing, could be something.

Not enough information to be sure of anything, but we can probably assume that (a) the cops had some kind of tip off or information that made them think there was something to find and that (b) they did not in fact find anything as nobody was arrested and the riders and teams finished the race.

I guess this can have it's own thread now. Marseille prosecutors have opened an inquiry – "discovery of many health products including drugs (...) and above all a method that can be qualified as doping"

and two people have been detained. The AFP source seems to indicate that it's Dayer Quintana who is the focus right now; and that it's a small number of people in the team who are involved. But Marseille prosecutor says theyr'e still working on the investigation.

edited to add: I'm glad (in a way) that we're seeing police raids. That means that a crack in the omerta has emerged.

In a way that could even be - Dayer Quintana to be strong enough as a helper... nonetheless if this is about doping it feels a bit ridiculous. While we are seeing things we have a hard time to believe, someone else and completely irrelevant to the race gets raided...

Presumably the police are not idiots and a) don't raid teams based on climbing times, and b) had some information which led them to this action. They tend to operate on specific information.

Nothing found during the police raid while Quintana subsequently loses 25 minutes on Col de la Loze!

The more interesting question IMHO is who tipped off Arkea to kill their stuff just in time, than which bird told the police! ;)

Looks like I should've waited 2 more minutes! :D

I doubt it.

Much more likely that they have a whole unit devoted to poring over the posts of Clinic regulars. Its bound to be their primary source of evidence. Where else could they find such a body of knowledge and expertise?
