We all know Porte couldve been 2nd in the TDF, but when you simply don't have a leader who needs ur services, how can you be a required domestique?
Yes Porte did make that dirty little food trick on D'huez, but do you honestly think it had any impact on the race except for a winning margin 1-1½ minutes smaller?
If doing illegal stuff is what we are measuring the quality of a domestique on, then this thread is clearly stupid, and I actually dont think it is.

Also how did Kittel get some many wins in TdF? Who was the main train man?
I seem to recall Devo doing lots of work for Cancellara during the double.
What about J-Rod's sidekick, Moreno. Any good this year?
Vasil was strong for Porte, but he failed when it mattered most: TdF.
But then again, he was only a good domestique for a very short period of time, from Paris-Nice until Vuelta Al Pais Vasco...After that he was utterly useless in Dauphine and TDF, whereas in Vuelta he didn't do any domestique work at all.manafana said:The belrussian beast hands down, known to ride a 100km on the front to keep a break in check and a great win for him this year much deserved
