A couple months back experts commented that Tom Boonen's cocaine use could be attributed to micro-dosing used intuitively to counter and ups and downs in between on and off cycles of anabolic steroid use. Could Boonen's cocaine use not be as innocuous as many first thought it to be just a personal use problem? His poor results in the TdF and his 46th in one of the recent Vattenfall Classics could be explained by this. He may be off the cocaine, but is he also off the testosterone- hence his racing dropping off. NB- his results around the Roubaix when he had his cocaine positives were stellar, further alluding to it being linked to a PED or testosterone.
