All the Flanders Classics organised races plus more?

Oh wow. So Eurosport really isn't that great this year.
They will show them as well I think.

But they didn't show today's race...

Eurosport have not had the rights to Omloop, Scheldeprijs, Dwars Door Vlaanderen or Brabante Pijl in the time I have been on this forum. This year is no different. The only ones that are officially in the Flanders Classics collection that Eurosport have shown are Tour of Flanders and Gent-Wevelgem. Sky showed highlights of these races in 2013 (?).

Bike's picture quality is poor, the ads were at daft times and there were a few technical issues (blackout, italian comms at start) but at least the race was on. Hopefully they'll also show the ones above that ES don't usually have. I don't think ES have lost anything so far, both channels have shown Oman but I don't think BIKE has covered any other 2016 race bar today. What exact rights they do have seems a little fluid - they said they'd show Dubai but it was only on ES.

Not Eurosport, but Rob Hatch is doing a reasonable job of solo commentating on the OHN, on Bike Channel

These international feed commentaries can be a little dry. I remember 3 or 4 years ago watching something on cycling.tv, a German one day semi classic, that Jonathan Harris-Bass commentated alone on. I think he was there talking to himself for about 4 hours and there was very little action. I think it ended in a bunch sprint and had the odd attack, Moser being one. A tough shift.

Although not live, Strade Bianche is Rob Hatch and Brian Smith I believe
europort player streamed it live without commentary 720p. Really nice just crowd noise and chain/ gears clicking.

It's weird, I saw the Eurosport coverage live with commentary, just not via the official channels. Only as Cancellara held his bike aloft did I notice it was on Eurosport player as you say.

I saw that Matt Stephens was with Dan Lloyd doing SB for the international market and Ned Boulting did Dubai, another RCS race. Is Kirby now doing all the big Eurosport races as last year he was doing the RCS portfolio (that lot plus Tirreno, Giro etc...) International commentaries with Lloyd.

That will make some cry!

Or is it just because he's doing the track worlds?

Stephens is great. If i'm watching ES (normally just Sporza), i always hope he will do commentary.

Great guy with a lot of humour too.

Carlton has been doing the track Worlds since Tuesday and finishing tomorrow.

I know but in previous seasons he has always done the international English commentary for RCS ahead of any Eurosport involvement and as far as I'm aware this season he has not done either of their opening races. The Giro last year for example, Kirby & Lloyd did it for them and it was Hatch/Kelly for Eurosport. I suppose now that Kirby is the unopposed main man at Eurosport, he could afford to pass up those 6/7 weeks of bookings, knowing he'll get them anyway. Rob Hatch has similar issues of availability being the English (well Mid Channel) voice of Flanders Classics and also doing the two weeks of Swiss racing in among the handball etc.

But if it's Carlton and Dan for RCS in midweek at Tirreno then all of the above is irrelevant!

Kirby is commentating Tirreno - Unsure who is his offsider.

Interesting, means he has then moved on from working a significant portion of the season with Cyclevox in RCS events. So it will likely be CK in all the big bike races on Eurosport as opposed to giving someone else a go at the Giro (Declan in 2013 when Harmon departed suddently, Hatch in 2014 and 2015).

The Kirby and Lloyd partnership was very listenable whenever I stumbled across it, looking at the recap of SB yesterday, Lloyd led the commentary with Matt Stephens summarising.

From what I heard of this pairing on the highlights reel that incycle showed, it sounded like Lloyd wasn't that comfortable in the lead roll. Especially in the final km. As the leaders went through the narrow roads at the top of the final climb, he very sounded very strained. In my opinion, Stephens is much more comfortable in the lead roll, and sounds more relaxed even when it's the final sprint of a race.
