Were we really told in the AGR finale that Niewiadoma is a great sprinter?

The Danish commentator said the same. But she was also a participant of the first episode of a new Danish cycling quiz show earlier this week and it was evident that she hardly knew anything about cycling.

"Pidcock has great excitement between his legs": Blyth would be sacked from any terrestrial broadcaster for that one.

I'm just glad he didn't say it at the same time as they passed that street art a couple of kilometres earlier.
Guess that comment would spark more controversy if it was made by Manon Lloyd to be honest! :D

The Sun wouldn't believe their luck! ^^

Did Trine Schmidt really say that?

No, Trine Schmidt really knows her stuff. It could've been Siggaard or Sanne Jakobsen on TV2.

It was Trine Schmidt.

Edit: Now I listened to it again. She said at the top of the Cauberg that Van Vleuten would have a problem because of they went home in that group, Lippert, Niewiadoma and Vollering (mostly Vollering) would be among the fastest.

Lars Bak is a bad commentator. Keesp talking about useless stuff when stuff is happening on the road - why do these guys not interrupt themselves when attacks are happening or something else of importance to the race?

Damn I miss Chris Anker. Probably the best commentator I've ever witnessed, at least in cycling.

At least he talks about things remotely related to the race he is commenting unlike Briam Holm.

What's up with Sean Kelly? Seems to have disappeared. Is he only going to do the GTs this year?
I think the amount of work that goes into it, I think he's made enough money he can rest and enjoy his farm more.

Re' Kirby & Blythe, man, I wish the would stop it with the Kwiato stuff. It's painful with their Ineos onsie's on.

Kirby saying how MvDP was struggling with the pressure at one point before it all kicked off. He didn't once seem to look stressed at all until maybe the final 3km or so. The bloke couldn't read a Spot book man.

Adam Blythe is whats up ...been given the jobs as in RRV and today
Probably be given PR as well...always Kellys gigs

I cant stand Blythe ..so smug and annoying and besides naming all the riders over and over again has not got great insight

P.S. I dont Sean Kelly would ever say he has enough money or he was going to stay on the farm !!!

GCN are enamoured with Blythe and McEwan
Kelly loves his farm and he's at a stage in his life where I am sure he wants to enjoy it. Maybe the pandemic etc has put things into a little more perspective for it.

Whilst I agree maybe that GCN want a more younger commentary team that some fans can relate to. I like that Jez Cox but I feel him and Blythe don't get on. Maybe Cox doesn't wear tiger skin underpants or cameltoe slip on shoes like Blythe.

Yes, Blythe seems to have taken over some of the races - but why vs Kelly? I like McEwen, and he also makes Kirby more livable (I still mute the finishes though!) - glad McEwen got a good gig after getting kicked off SBS (curious to see the replacements they will have in the GTs this year, esp the Tour).

@MartinGT you are probably right - must be time for him to take it more easy - can you imagine having to put up with Kirby all these years, after all!!!

That wasn't too bright no, but I agree with Baldinger that she's generally quite good. And she keeps René Wenzel away from the microphone which is also a plus.

Wenzel is horrid, so I applaud every commentator taking his spot, even when they say something blatantly incorrect!

At least he talks about things remotely related to the race he is commenting unlike Briam Holm.
Really? I actually like Holm, but probably especially Bay's commentating. Holm is a better partner for him than Leif was IMO, even though it does have some nostalgia to it watching races in the midlate 00's on ES. I like their chemistry, but yes, sometimes Holm can go crazy and talk about something completely unrelated, but I quite like him.
