Saxo Bank confirms Contador's contract has ended. Where will he sign next? I dont think Saxo can afford to sign him as he has not WorldTour points and will not earn any points for two years therefore only some rich team that has planty of WT points can/should sign him.

What team can afford or should sign Contador in August?

Seriously though, I think Bjarne is gonna pull another one out of the hat and Contador will stay with them

It may sounds crazy but I voted Radioshack. In July Johan will realize that Andy will never win the Tour (technically, he already did) and will dump the Schleck duo for Contador :D

Am I dreaming or am I having nightmares?

I think Contador will end up staying with Riis, and Riis goes after riders from Iran for their points.

If Saxo doesn't get its licence taken away then he will sign with them.
If they do have it taken away then the Prodigal son will return, Astana.

Going with Astana. Vino's team sucks without him and there wasn't much in the way of bad blood on the departure of Contador. Plus Vino in his own turmoil so having Contador onboard would deflect the attention; they would work well together.

Saxo could be gone by August. Movistar is the obvious choice, if Riis loses his license and/or sponsors.

I think Contador and Riis have a close relationship, however, and that they would prefer to work together if they can. So, Contador will sign with Saxo, if there's a Saxo to sign with. If Saxo goes away, Contador will sign with Movistar. (I chose the latter option, as I fear for the immediate future of Saxo Bank team.)

I'm quite sure that Saxo will continue to exist.

How is Movistar the obvious choice? They didn't have the money to sign him before, but they do now? Even if they cut his paycheck in half we're still talking millions...

Went with Saxo, assuming they remain in the sport, which I hope they will. Can certainly see him going back to Riis.
I know Movistar are Spanish and all, but apart from that, why is that being suggested as his most likely destination? They already have Valverde and Cobo for GT's, and Valverde is in the same 'points not counting for anything' situation I think...? So can't imagine they'd be too keen to have a second rider in that position.

If they have the opportunity to sign Contador after this, all of Spain will chip in.

easy... saxo bank.if he goes to movistar, valverde will leave the team.

Bingo. Which helps to solve both the money issue and the two-stars-not-contributing-points problem.
