That might not hurt actually, with an execption made for those who've fully acknowledge guilt, and helped the investigation to satisfaction of WADA. Oh, and spend a signficant part of their ban actively fighting doping and educating youngsters. That is, if they wish to return to cycling after their ban. If they violate the gagging order, well...a year added per infriction.

It intrigues me how some people can talk really bad about Alberto only to later say that they "kinda like" him, or "don't mind" him.

actually, I'd say that's one of the brilliant things about human beings: we have the ability to have complex, nuanced opinions about people and things that aren't limited to being black and white, love him or hate him (or be neutral about him). it's quite possible to like certain things about a person and dislike others. is this news?

Contador isn't an exception, regardless of your personal opinion of him.
