tbf, images and sound are completely out of sync. When Gatto crosses the line the commentators are at 700m before the finish.

Apart from this, though, they didn't even realize initially that it was AC who made a move from behind, something which Cassani called with the appropriate astonishment and enthusiasm on RAI. Amateurs. :p

I say Arnaud whips his boys into high dudgeon, they control the breakaway, and then he manages to get over that little hill at the end in a reduced bunch to take the sprint by a healthy margin over a bunch of non-sprinters. Démare for the win!

What? Why are you looking at me like that? He's ridden over short, sharp hills and won before.

I predict another empty day for Madiot and his hilly sprint/flat sprint mini-tour team here. Bouhanni will watch and seethe and gloat and seethe and plan and seethe and feel cheated and seethe and call his agent and rant and seethe. Oh yes, changes are afoot at FDJ.

The profile and finish do have Gerrans written on them, might not be allowed to get in the break, but could still go late----

Things are looking really ****ing dark for Taaramäe. Hasn't even updated his blog for last 2 days and from him, that's perhaps the scariest sign of anything. Really hope it's the stage 2 crash or just some random sickness...but these results last 4 days look awful familiar. Finished again in the last grupetto 30 mins down today..

Sad to see him struggling again. I really wish him a lot more luck for the future.

This is a great, great stage design. I am glad that the 15% section is just for 100m, as otherwise everyone would wait if there were a hill of 1km at 10% plus at that stage.

There are 25km where lots can happen at the end of the stage. This is just perfect, considering the day they have tomorrow. If they had put that big Clergeon hill in beforehand, it wouldn't have been used.

Garmin has to be the team which send their riders to the breakaway the least amount of times from all WT teams this year.

Gap is 5.25,maybe Sky wants to dress Bakelants in yellow.

I don't think Sky will care if Bakelants gets the yellow or not cause they need to control tomorrow either way. But because of that, they won't chase and will prolly try to rest today, meaning it's totally possible Bakelants ends in yellow indeed.
