What do you mean by the bold? Isn't Roglic returning from injury? I think its the opposite of what you wrote? I think he's is in great shape at this point in the season with the big dance around France on the horizon.

I was reading this thread and the general consensus seemed to be he is clearly on decline due to not beating Ganna on ITT.

We can only speculate about the goals of JV team management and sponsors, but I would take the deal of another poster and trade (possible) RVV and PR with Wout, for a shot at Yellow with Rogla.

I didn't say only Pogačar can win yellow or Van Aert green other posters opinions are not my own. What I said is that Jumbo gains very little to not having Van Aert in the Tour team compared with what they can lose. At the end of the day, I think Jumbo has around 30% chance of winning this year's Tour but they will only win under normal circumstances if Roglič and Vingegård are at the same level as Pogačar or even one of them stronger than him otherwise they will need lady luck or their side and they have plenty of domestiques to explore that if it happens.

Risking losing Van Aert (a top3 rider in the rankings) by not bringing him to the Tour is crazy because unlike what it happens with the Tour, Jumbo has a much bigger chance of winning RVV and PR with than without Van Aert. Plus if that was not enough, the company also has commercial interests in Flanders and having one of two biggest Belgium cycling stars of the miment kind of helps with that given that we are talking about one of the most cycling obsessed regions in the world...
