I dont think Pedersen and Trek really have studied the route, because just admitting defeat on this parcours would be very disappointing. Might as well give it a good shot. Isn't this exactly what you have trained for, Mads?
In the interview from the start, Pedersen said that he "knows the stage today" - but no idea if that means "in person", or just from looking at the profile.

In general, to me it would make sense if he is just not in his best climbing shape yet. The Tour is still four weeks away, and he needs to keep the Olympics in mind as well.

Depends on how hard they go, there are a lot of semi flat parts to get back. If they go hard, they should drop him
He could get back in a descent, the last part totally is hard enough...of course it dependes ho w they go, but this is not a parece, it is pro clycling, if is Pogacar and evenepoel at his best fighteen for the stage pedersen wpuld be far away, but it is not necessary, just the ryth to get the break is anought to drop people today, Ot is a second categ0ry climb, and without descent, another second. If the first climb wopuld be 5 average instead of 5,8 I could admit that it depends how some team face this, difficult, but some chances, but there is a big differente today between 5 and 5,8, becpouse there are 7 km of climbs, and that is long.

I dont understand IPT working today, There are anorther teams more interested....

Hollyman Oulling and the rest of the team, including Froome, just before Bora---or course they want stages, but it is to waste the team innecesary

I welcome offansive racing even tho as you say on paper other is more interessted but at the same time you never win with that attitude and trying either. Wish more teams was less afraid to loose when trying than riding defensive with less oppertunities - occasionally sometimes atleast.

It's looking like Froome will win the Dauphine. After that my guess is that you will never hear from him again. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he did not exist. And like that ... he is gone.
