Giving the break so much time probably means it will be a GC rider who wins the stage if they bring back the break. For intermediate type riders you needed to get in the break or control the stage earlier.
Three minutes is not a big difereence for a climb so long, but of course behind thay have to be at a good speed.

More than Nielants I didnt realize Theuns, very good card for today, bur other teams should be more interested.

I think the difference is neglegible, and its better to preserve your own team and deplete the GC teams a bit so the pace on the final climb may be a bit lower

They have ridden the climb hard and its still in the balance - And Pedersen is still in the group.
