to me it looked more like he was leading out Nerurkar, who then somehow forgot to launch his sprint when Quinn ran out of power.
That makes sense, I thought he was looking to see if his chain had dropped or something. But that could have been just the exhausted head nod.

His fans will tell us it did
Either he wins or does well in the TT and it’s “imagine home much better he could have done” or he does poorly and “the crash affected his TT otherwise he’d have been better.”
But hopefully he didn’t break or damage anything. This isn’t the goal so no reason to push of something is hampered.

How are these chums supposed to beat Pog or Vinge, when they can't even drop the sprinters uphill?
you mock, but Pogacar only beat Tiberi by a dozen minutes or so. And now Tiberi is getting beat by Froome on MTFs.

Yet Froome and Tiberi finished together, one of whom just got done riding his first GT for GC at 22 yrs old.

Tarling significant betting favorite for tomorrow. For such a hilly course I’d still go with Roglic/Remco even with potential injuries/form issues

I'd go Tarling, Remco and C-Rod or Ayuso. Carlos Rodriguez is my favorite to win overall based on what I have seen so far
Yeah he’s on my podium except this is already his 5th stage race of the year plus Tour, wondering if he will definitely be in top shape for this or in a bit of a dip.

He wasn't in shape yet in his first two stage races, so he rode these likely just as training races, so I wouldn't be too concerned about it.
