Predictions for tomorrow?

Assuming there is not an uncatchable break - Pogi beats Jonas in a sprint - Remco 20 sec behind,

Are they? Because they won the sprint in stage 1 where he did more work? I’m not so sure the others are faster
I wouldn't bet on Remco to beat them in a sprint, but I think he's got a reasonable chance. I do think the other two have historically been a bit better. He's no slouch in a sprint, and fatigue will often be the determining factor.

Because they have always been faster than him, both in flat sprints and especially when it comes to uphill kick.

He has improved from when it was a specific handicap for him, but he is still just above average on finishing speed - and neither Pogacar nor Vingegaard are average.

I can’t remember a lot of sprints between Vingegaard and Evenepoel to be honest. Same goes for with Pogacar and Evenepoel. Real h2h sprints

Let's not forget how Remco demolished Vingo in the stage where he crashed into a lady photographer after crossing the line. La Vuelta I believe

Will be interesting to see who will try to make the race tomorrow. I think Visma should try to get into the brake and play Jorgensen on the penultimate climb. Even if that gets closed down by Pogi or Remco it's likely Visma have a numerical advantage in the finale. Pogi doesn't have the best climbing support here and Remco max. 2 good domestiques for the mountains.

I could also see someone of the 2nd Tier GC riders sneak away for the win if Visma isn't interested in pacing and Remco/pogi doesn't want to pull the group to the line.

Tomorrow nothing much to expect from Pogi or Vingo. Maybe a 500m from the finish acceleration and thats it.
Because : too short of a stage + not hard enough final climb + 2 harder stages the next days.

Will they let Lipo in the breakaway?

He wont go, he's saving himself for a 130k raid with Pogi on stage 7.

Oh a more realistic note:
after his breakaway he said he actually wanted to launch van Gils, but that somehow didn't work out and he found himself in the break instead, had a look at it, thought it was strong, and took the gamble. So there was no strategy behind it,.

That final climb is hard enough to make a difference, and knowing Pogacar (like we all do) I am guessing he wants to get revenge over his ITT performance - and wants to be in control before the queen stage saturday.

Whether it's possible and he can drop the others, your guess is as good as mine.

Vingegaard and Evenepoel on the other hand, I think prefer to ride it conservatively and save as much as they can for Saturday, but they may not get their wish.

I expect full gas on Mont saxoness, and a small group in the start of the final climb.

was that the Vuelta he cracked & lost over 30 minutes?

it was the Vuelta where he said before the race he wasn't going to ride for podium that if he couldn't win, he'd be going for stages.

That crash may have affected his power output. After Ganna upset him in the TT, he clearly switched to stages

I don't think any of the big 3 go that early, it's 25 K flat until the final climb, and they all know what's coming the day after.

I think the break takes the stage, and then the GC fights it out up the last climb with relatively low gaps across the line.

I hope I am wrong ;)

No way is this not a GC stage. They find excuse on anything that is not pancake flat. Or if it doesn't include gravel or crosswinds and if by any chance they need to wake up early the very next day.
