Shameless from Vinge, lol
Why shameless? He sprinted, assuming that Pogacar would race for 2nd, when Pogacar made no effort, he didn't continue either, but because of having started to sprint, he had more speed.

Would it have been more dignified to not try to race, allowing Pogacar to accelerate to a clearer 2nd had wanted to? Or to brake and try to drop back to third once Pogacar didn't respond?

Not everything that the rival of your hero does has to be a matter for ridicule.

Hopefully this is the black mirror of the 2014 Dauphine, which promised everything and delivered nothing in the Tour.

This year, as others have pointed out, the gaps between the top riders looked no different or even bigger (the ITT being the exception) than last year. 2014, the previous year’s gaps had squeezed to nothing, then the top 2 crashed out. Helluva Vuelta, though. So this year maybe it will be great Tour battle between the top 2 then Roglic wins the Vuelta, in keeping with the inverse of 2014?

What's wrong with Martinez' head though? Do you also see these twitches from his head? It's almost like he has Tourette 's or something

Try escaping two aliens and likely your head will twitch a bit too.

Rogla plans to win the Tour, Jonas confirmed, pre-stage, already thinking about Vuelta, likely to build up form during the Tour, Pogi IDK. He seems not to care anymore, so maybe he will skip the Tour and straight to Vuelta. We'll see.

Rogla laughing his ass off watching these goons at the Dauphine.

Congrats to Lenny for winning the stage and Pogi for securing the overall.

There was still some battle in between Lipo and Remco involved, for podium, both their respective teams came prepared with satellite riders, ultimately things stayed the same. In between Pogi and Jonas i must say that beyond likely riding a faulty bike at ITT, the rest was not even close. First time Pogi pushed his ego aside a bit and raced half of decisive stages in a rather conservative fashion. Still managing to revenge del Toro, not allowing Jonas to win the ultimate stage and making him race for second, statement made.

@Unchained

You are aware of this was the first race for Mathieu, coming back from his injury, caused by a crash?

As for the rest, yes indeed, Pogi, Remco, Rogla, Jonas ... they all crash and crash rather often. So saying something in the lines of a certain pro road cyclist crashes often, that won't exactly win you a Nobel prize.
