No, apparently not. There were gaps there and Van Wilder looked like he was working hard to get back on but he apparently crashed earlier.

The climb categorisation on this stage is so ASO. 2.1k at 5.2%= cat 4 but 2.1k at 6.2%= cat 3. 1.3k at 12%- cat 2!

According to this preview the final climb can be also measured as 2.5k @7.9%, so there's some climbing.

I just saw Van Wilder in the peloton, so he's definitely back. Let's hope coming back twice didn't cost him too much energy, and that he doesn't have any physical problems from the crash.

He is faster on the line than most at the race, so he can even afford to wait on a break formed on the last climb.
