Interestingly, Contador, a Spaniard, would be in yellow tonight, were it not for the Spanish fans crowding the road at the top of an intermediate mountain, slowing and even stopping the peloton.

The first couple of leading groups, including the one containing Contador, got through without a hitch; it was the autobus that got blocked.

they got through without getting stopped, but they were slowed considerably! the riders in the back of the peloton were stopped completely.
