Why someone would force their cat to become a vegetarian?

That is a complete violation of the laws of abuse of against animals. They are the closest pure predator of the domesticated animals. Most Vet's recommend 80% plus of animal protein in their diet.

What am I pondering, who gets custody of the cats.... Sucks to be in a middle of a divorce.

Cats are pure carnivores and are dependent on animal protein (such as the amino acids arginine and taurine which are only available through animal sources). They cannot be vegetarians.

My wife will likely get to keep the cats. Yes, it sucks. Hopefully I will get visitation rights!

After reading this thread I got to thinking why it was that my ex only became interested in the cat at the time of separation  Somehow I still got to keep him. Recently he got in touch with his carnivorous side. For Christmas he knocked my son's hamster cage onto the floor and - well, lets just say there is no more hamster.

Brain dump:

Is good grammar, proper sentence structure, and punctuation too much to ask for on-line? Wait. Maybe that should have read, "Are good grammar..." F*ck it. Question answered.

I'm perplexed by the need of some people to acquire virtual friends. Aren't in-person friends good enough? Still, gift giving is much easier with virtual friends.

Why do employers feel the need to sh*t on their employees, all the while expecting the employees to accept it as business as usual?

Was just reading the lance, Kona thread. And was noticing the animosity of some towards triathlon. I was just pondering if it has to do with not knowing how to swim, poor swimming or maybe fear of the water. The swim seems to be the major obstacle for most considering doing a tri

reminds me of the person who used artificial sweetener when making hummingbird nectar, because "they don’t need all that sugar".

Just signed up for the cyclo-tourist Ronde van Vlaanderen. 250km.

I am pondering why I did that.

Just make sure you get in a group that knows the route - last time I rode we went the wrong way near Gistel, were nearly in DePanne before we realised and it was 275km by the time we got back to Ninove - plus strong winds and rainy showers. Got back after 9 hours and was enjoying steak, frites and beer in the restaurant at 9pm and people were still finishing after 15 hours!

How there can be no molecules in space. It is just space, literally. And why doesn't everything in space explode because there is no concentration in space so anything that has a concentration should seek a lesser concentration because that is what happens when you have some in something that has less, but in this case there is none, so I just don't freaking get it.

Take a deep breath it's going to be OK

I rode the grand total of 5k into town and back.. :D

first 1k on what seemed to be ice, with a narrow 6" wide snow strip in the middle, next 3k on nice clear tarmac but with car drivers completely unable to understand why i was not willing to ride on the side of the road in the slush and ice preferring to ride in the middle of the road, and doing 25k for christ sake, if i let one past he only got in my way ten yards later, and the final 1k hogging the 6" snow strip in the middle of the hill down to my house :D

Hopefully it will all have thawed by the weekend.. -8 tonight, but due to get back to normal temperatures by sunday.

Whether I should walk out the door yelling "I Quit", get on a plane and move to Kyrgyzstan to herd sheep peacefully for the rest of my life.

Then again, I have similar thoughts every working day of my life

I've had a few months off, due to US economic realities. Since it's Winter and all the training I'm doing is premature I've had no stress. Except how to feed the household. I'd rather have the work stress and alleviate it by racing my bike, all things being equal.
