Cycling hotel in Spain

Hi guys! Me and some friends are thinking to go to Spain for a week to go on a nice cycling (and maybe partying :p) stage. We're looking for a nice hotel, with some good cycling facilities(maybe with guided tours included) and in a city where we can also party :p

Girona is a bit quiet for the 'yoot' - which you are, of course - but superb for cycling, which is why some of cycling's biggest names have stored their blood there.

You didn't say when you were thinking of going. In late June, for example, Girona is a great place to be. The city's free Etnival in the Parc Ribes del Ter is terrific. I went there a few years ago when the event was still quite modest but it's grown a lot more since then.

Hotel Ciutat is modern, central and I seem to recall them supporting cyclists nicely.

However as a small group with all your gear you should probably look at renting somewhere. There are plenty of options in the region. Depending on your party size you could probably even hire a vehicle so that your rides can start where you like.

We're with 4 guys, probably going in July or August, maybe early September :) Thx for the responses, I had been looking at Valencia a bit, but hotels are expensive :eek: Also, we might use one of the dudes dad's car(BMW 5 series wth :p)

If you do September in girona you can catch a couple of stages of the vuelta.
Even still, great rides around there and you can get shown around by bikecat girona.

Also check out the basque region, San Sebastian an obvious choice, big enough to have spend a good time off the bike, small enough (it felt like) to be out on the bike quickly. It also doesn't get crazy south Spanish hot;

Barcelona has been mentioned, great for partying, the sea is close, but like any major metropolis, cycling might be a bit ore complicated, if you are staying inside the city.

I also had good times in Madrid, Salamanca, and Burgos. Granada is a nice place to visit and Sevilla is also awesome if you want to enjoy the nightlife but in the summer (July August) it gets incredibly hot, which might hurt your cycling performance. Siestsas are a prerequisite...

Spain is a good destination for cycling and for fans of it. There are many cycling sites and they are well known in world. There are many hotels which provide cycling facility and you can find them easily on net.
