It's going to be a busy weekend, Peacock should be showing Paris-Nice which starts on Sunday, but they're not listing it yet.
I'm confident Peacock will have the race, their ASO contract isn't up.

But Strada is an RCS race, and all their races were on the market for new contracts this year, so who knows if anything has been written in stone yet.

I don't know what torks me off more: the constant buffering on Max (almost unwatchable at times) or the endless commercials on Peacock.

I will say, the picture quality is better on Peacock.

Catalunya is an ASO race, so of course they are on Peacock. I just got a promo code for Peackock premium for $5.99 a month, but after 6 months it would go back to the normal price of $10.99. So 6 months can see me through the Vuelta.

Also, SBS has Catalunya if you need an English language feed for your VPN

And speaking of SBS, here's a link to their site with upcoming race schedule....

If Peacock adverts become unbearable I might have to go with SBS. SBS has adverts, but they choose their moments appropriately and not too many breaks.

I watched Milan San Remo on Max via Comcast. The buffering was modest until around the Cipressa climb. Then, the video began freezing up repeatedly for long periods of time. I knew from checking with the internet that my video was getting way behind the live action. At around 22 K to go, due to frustration, I logged out of Max for a couple minutes and then logged back in hoping that a reboot would unclog the feed. In that couple minutes, my video went from 20-something K to the last 500 meters! Yikes. My feed had been waay behind due to all the freeze ups.

Has anyone else had problems with Max freezing up? I wonder if the problem is Comcast-wide or is it just my local feed.

Even while watching a replay several hours later, I experienced quite a few (short) buffering delays.

Being on the west coast in Cali. I end up watching the replay and even there I get the freeze ups but I don't think the pauses added up to that much time but still it's annoying. If they had the feature like on FloBikes where you could choose a lesser resolution it wouldn't be nearly so bad, also FloBikes allows up to 2x times speed so allows me to watch more of the races without needing to jump the playback to finish in the time I have to watch the races.

It may actually be TV specific. Max does not work at all on the living room TV, but works fine on the TV in my home office.

I too have comcast

i watched MSR live on the Belgian RTBF broadcast stream. They ran regular short commercial breaks but always had a small inset window that continued showing the race action. I’m sure advertisers want 100% of their audiences attention, but it’s too bad more broadcasters don’t adopt that.

no commercials so far
Pleasant surprise.

Meanwhile, as I pointed out in the race thread for Catalunya, Peacock is confused by USA setting clocks ahead, while hasn't done so yet. They do it this coming Sunday.

So the start time today an hour later than Peacock thought. So hopefully they will update their start times.
