...or wait, William Clarcke got 39 points from his one stage victory and also finished behind Greipel on the GC. I guess he got a little more than double points for being Australian, or perhaps bonus points for the letters C and W which are included in his name?

Well, William Clarke also did the nationals so probably got some points for his 5th (RR) and 8th (tt) places there.
