Cyclists receive gold medals -- 60 years late

I know a lot of people who have left early at big events and not gone to collect medals because they were rumered that WADA was running tests.
But back then WADA didnt exist and neither did drugs!!!! as we know it.

Go the the local chemist and get a bottle of special cough mixture and off you go what was in it they will never know. That was in the days when Chemist made their own lotions and potions.

A nice story and kind of interesting in terms of shedding light on how stuff used to be organised way back when. Can anyone imagine a sportsperson of today not checking if they'd won a medal? With all those sponsorships, advertising, personal appearance opportunities. Today's winners would be dining out on that medal for the rest of their days. :)
