I'd say DB "retires" after Tdf ... or earlier if the s**t hits the fan. When Sky say they "have full confidence" in DB then you'll know he's on his way out.

First we had Sutton lecturing the MP's for not being the great flag waving patriot's.

Now we have Brailsford attacking Kenworthy for commenting on his non cooperation. These people think they are infallible and the public are mugs (I suppose for a long time they were used to the latter). That Brailsford press conference yesterday was desperate on Brailsford's behalf, at last a journalist asking some proper questions.

In all seriousness, it is also a good example that nothing has moved on or been learnt by the Lance Armstrong effect. Patriotism tends to lead the blind into darkness.

Brailsford saw this and it is why he made such a big deal of it being a British team, and their goal of getting the 1st British winner of the TdF.

Rapha saw the potential too and have it appears saw the writing on the wall and sold to a bigger corp.

Brailsford is very much Lance in all of this. He sees each interview as a challenge to turn the crowd back in his favour. But he uses double speak rather than Lance being 100% direct. Armstrong was way more convincing, Brailsford looks terrible. I'm sure he's done some good work in his time at Sky but it's all being undone because he looks more and more like a teenager lying about what time they got in the previous evening.

It also appears to be a British thing to hire PR and attempt to slime your way out of a problem. The American method is to confess all your sins and cry a little, which is the faster route to redemption.

I am convinced some in this forum don't understand process - Kenworthy the Head of UKAD should not be seen or heard - His agency has the job to run a professional investigation, to try to find evidence as to what is contained in the mystery package, and if necessarys charge Wiggins and/or others with an Anti-Doping Violation - Kenworthy has no role making press statements and allegations in the press - One of the central tenets of NADOC's is confidentiality and privacy - I am surprised Kenworthy still has a job.

For a Non Adverse Analytical doping violation it's up to UKAD to find evidence to issue an Infraction notice - Now the media will always ask questions, write articles, proffer opinions and so forth - But for the head of UKAD to give a running commentary through the media, is unprofessional and unbefitting of his position - It's simple - The media and social media can discuss this as often as we want, but UKAD should remain silent - Kenworthy's lack of judgement and professionalism has no relationship to Sky's bullying or lack of transparency.

If UKAD don't have the information required to complete the investigation from Sky's & BCs documents to confirm Fluamicil or something else, then that is the point their investigation concluded to. The next step would be for CAS to get involved with UKAD claiming BC & Sky are witholding information. End of the day the investigation has mostly followed NADOC, it's just cycling is so used to the investigation being public and with running commentary w're shocked when it isn't and accuse everyone of not calling a spade a spade.

You dont get it - UKAD is supposed to be independent of the Government - They determine whether an Anti-Doping Violation has been committed - The Government can compel citizens to appear before Select Committees but their BRIEF is not Anti-Doping - Australia had enough issues when the Goverment interfered with ASADA in 2013/2014 in the EFC 34 and Cronulla 12 cases.

As a Brit I'm confused by the constant reference by posters on here to Sky/BC's alleged fraudulent use of government money....this isn't U.S. Postal where a government run institution was funding a cycling team (and subsequently doping).
The Sky team doesn't take a penny from the UK government, it's a Murdoch enterprise and Manchester/BC is lottery funded, I don't play the lottery so I don't feel defrauded, it's not compulsory to buy a ticket!
Buy a ticket and help put some money into most Olympic sports or don't, choice is the punters...i don't think some on here get that.

All talk of jail time, the government trying to recoup funds etc is fantasy by posters on here who don't understand the system of sport funding in the UK, the government actually contributes very little and most goes to schools not professional setups.
That is why little will come of this, sorry to burst some bubbles.

Lottery funded is money from the people.

Government funding is tax payers money from the people.

I am not sure lottery funds spent flying fluimicil to France from Manchester comes under lottery funding policy.
