An enigma this one.. too bad he is not closer to podium, would make tomorrow even more intense.

Maybe he should just fully target Vuelta next year, he seems to get in some form here.

What does it say?
Unfortunately, the tweet doesn't appear.
Alexis Brunel on David Gaudu: "I hate him. He spat on me on his stupid live streams. A horrible guy. He thinks he's a champion, but he's not. He may have won races, but that doesn't make him great. Nothing to do with Thibaut Pinot, an idol"

There is then a link to an interview with l'equiepe

It says that Gaudu is a massive douche, but we already knew that.
I have however decided to be a fan of him anyway.
So have I. So long as he’s just picking stupid fights with random pack fill, I’m ok with it. And he was right about Demare being washed.

Yeah I'm not gonna back a guy solely because he's saltily crying over a better rider as an attempt to be relevant.

Ironic I know.

I don't know whether he was necessarily right about Démare, but he was in a situation where he needed to fight for leadership within the team ahead of a Tour de France, which had a route that suited him. In the end that race didn't pan out as he had hoped, but if Démare had been poorly treated by the team for some time that wasn't all on Gaudu anyway.
