Interteam conflicts and stress come to mind. ;)

Why does AC get the blame for the Astana situation and not LA? Didn't hear much if anything about AC not being a team player before LA joined up.

Though his complaining about LL's TT during the Vuelta was amateurish in my mind.

I think Garmin with really try to stick with Wiggins. They believed in him prior to the TdF and it paid off. I have my doubt he could become a much better climber and be a real contender for the win, but I'm no DS. Van de Velde is kinda of the same, Garmin is really trying to commit to them.

As for Contador, the vibe I get from the guy is that he will really prefer to stick with a team in which he is at ease (ie Spanish) esp. after the experience at Astana.

facts:
*JV speaks fluent Spanish and is deeply interested in signing Contador
*CV & AC have considered themselves friends since they worked together back in Liberty Seguros- so he's definitely cool with him on board
* BW will take advantage of the situation, knowing wisely that having AC near will help him get to the podium
*as an Anglo-team, Contador will bring Noval and Paulinho along - so he won't be alone
*maybe DM will be one not so happy with the idea....

Overall - so far so good

If Alberto goes to Garmin, JV and his team would then have a major cloud hanging over them. Many here will say a team which has gotten the overall results they got in the past two years as evidence of a doping team, but I really hoped to the contrary. Alas, it seems they are just taking the p***.

Then again Bradley, even with all his anti-doping talk, felt that Lance's comeback was a great thing for the sport. Not really consistent talk one would have to say. But it takes bottle to talk up - just ask Linus....

ppfffff- like they aren't already eyebrows raised with Wiggins "surprising performance" ....

Thanks for this.
I still feel Contador is the homeboy and was burned by his experience and I may be wrong on this.
I am not trying to say that there's no way he would go to Garmin. It is true that his profile fits well with what Garmin may need on the TdF.

As someone said, I think all teams would like to get him. But Contador value means that only few could hope to make a realistic bid. Garmin seems like one of them.
