So who are the favorites for this one? I guess Schachmann, Mohoric, Thomas, Dumoulin. Someone else? Maybe Bakelants?
I think the Tour guys are low on form since they'll have had criteriums and a lot of rest, so they will be building up to the later goals (worlds?). Be interesting to see if they can compete with in form riders as Mohoric and Schachmann

It's a shame to see Krieger still lurking on Conti level. Give this man a pro contract!

But he can't win. Even on that level.

There are dozens of lesser riders on WT level who will never win a race. Krieger could be a great lead-out man in any sprint train.

The parcours builders have nicely managed to put a short hill at the exact same distance from the finish (6,5-7km) in the remaining 3 stages. It's pretty much impossible to gauge how hard those actually are though.

As for gc, it could be an interesting contest between puncheurs/attackers and possibly the more complete sprinters.

What happened to Kittel - Mechanical or soemthing, he was last in the bunch (109th), the sort of position you expect to see Steve Cummings not a top sprinter

I noticed the Eurosport announcers pronouncing Hodeg like Hodge. Is that correct?

Schachmann wins, Mohoric 2nd, Dumoulin 3rd and Politt 4th. Always fun looking at sprints when none of them is able to do a proper sprint.

Schachmann is a beast...did most of the work and still won. Hard to say what his ceiling will be and what he will focus on in the future. Classics? Time Trials? GTs?

I have a feeling Sunweb is going to sign him.

Gotta give it to Dumoulin. He's competitive no matter the race

Also a ridiculous chase by Mohoric to get back to the two leaders
