Van Den Broeck's role in 2009 was to support Evans while doing as well as he could himself. He ended up ahead of his leader. Did he cheat according to you?

VdB got cheated in that Tour lol.

he only starts shouting more and more
can you ignore users? if so it's time i'd use that function

i absolutely dont mind it because you fail more to simple arguments beyond a fan base mutterings and whining.

i can only read what he wrote - 'a terrible gregario' he wrote. and he called me names. so your appeals to chill should be directed elsewhere, not me. if you feel you can read his mind than so be it. me i can only read what he wrote.
Well, I think what he meant is obvious if you read it assuming just the tiniest amount of good faith.

Anyway, what did Rasmussen do? He got into a breakaway to collect KOM points and win the stage. After that, he was in yellow with a sizeable advantage. What the hell was he supposed to do? What do you think their DS decided to do? What would you have done in that situation?

i answered this several pages back. please page back. it was not about 'what the hell was ras to do' but what was his game and the reflection it had on the team dynamics.

if you're willing to discuss this further, i will gladly do so if you open another thread but i suppose we should respect the requests and complaints from those who are not interested. again, but you seem not reading what i write but assuming you know what some clearly did not write. hardly a productive effort.

I'm just assuming a mod will split this thread anyway, whether we continue or not, so that's why I kept replying.
again you are assuming in stead of reading what written - many complaints.

Not a fact, and I would know since I live in the country where all the Rabo-hysteric media reports any fart about it.
Rasmussen was co GC leader. FACT

And from what I have heard, this Rasmussen GC story was supported by some members of the teammanagement and something like a "project". Rasmussens "preparations" were tolerated and, in parts, organized by these people, even when they denied that later, after the plan failed because of a coincidence.

Just speculation - paired with putting 1 and 1 together.

what a bla bla on this thread....

rasmussen had a FREE ROLE at rabo, all the time and also in 2007. he was allowed do go in breakaways for the kom and try to get as much time as possible there, if mentsjoev would struggle again like in 2005, when rasmussen became rabos gc man for the podium. the favourites gave him 6 minutes, he got the yellow jearsey, his tt wasn't as bad as 2years ago, so the was staying in yellow and became the new team captain, because of his solid lead and because he seemed to be - and at least he was - the better climber than evans, ll and contador. that's a FACT.

i haven't seen mentsjoev beeing a real super-domestique for rassmusen that year, but in my opinion he did solid support. boogerd gave everything for him, but i couldn't remember t. dekker being that good as told here.

get the aubisque stage and the pailheres stage downloaded. you'll see what t.dekker did.

keeping a lead group with sastre and soler at the same time over 3 cols and then closing the gap in the valley on your own is pretty god damn impressive
