Well... I just skimmed through the job/education-thread and there were a number of people attending high school! And a lot of people who assumed they were all older than they were. But I suppose times have changed since then, and forums have gone out of favour.
Yeah, when I joined the forum, I was younger than you were when you joined.
There are some who joined more recently! It wouldn't surprise me if one or two were teenagers.
I very much doubt that...They're still younger than they were in 2012!
There was a thing to check asking me if I was 18 when I signed up to the forum at 17.

Wouldn't matter where the servers were, as long as the site remains open to UK residents it applies. Denmark is also working to implement similar rules through an expansion of the EU Digital Services Act (DSA).
If such a time comes and it very well may, we can look at reversing it. I think it goes without saying, we wouldn't have it in place if not legally required to do so.
I can think of a couple posters who I'm almost sure are 12 years old...
Or maybe I'm so old I've lost all perspective...
It's my impression that it's to protect children from groomers, supposedly. You may be a 12yo, so very bad things can happen if an adult can send you private messages ...
I was 16 or 17 when I started reading the forum and 17 when I joined. Back then for like 1-2 years I was reading the forum on my Wii U.
It's how a lot of legislation works. Ban a broad behavior cause it sometimes has bad effects.
In any event, the ones chiefly to blame are the groomers.
