I'm pretty certain he'd be 4th, but that still wouldn't give him the elusive podium.I'm sorry to all the rational people here but I refuse to believe pozzovico would not be 4th in that 2015 giro without his crash
The veteran of the group will say goodbye by wearing the Vf Group-Bardiani Csf-Faizanè jersey for the last time, a team for which he returned to racing after taking his first competitive steps there (with another name). It will be his sixteenth participation in the last Monument Classic of the season, where in the past he has also collected three excellent placings (two sixth places and an eighth place). The Lucanian will try to be seen between Bergamo and Como, trying to leave the last sign of a magnificent adventure and demonstrating once again all his boundless stubbornness. Domenico Pozzovivo will close with thirteen victories as a professional, including a stage at the 2012 Giro d'Italia, the general classification of the 2012 Giro del Trentino and a stage at the Tour of Switzerland in 2017. His 18 appearances at the Giro d'Italia are record-breaking, with fifth place in 2014 and 2018 and sixth place in 2017, but also sixth place at the Vuelta a España in 2013 and three appearances at the Tour de France.
"The only certainty is that in December I will become a father and therefore life will certainly change a lot. Then I would like to specialize in performance and coaching in general to make use of my degree in Sports Science as well".

Nibali was a great point of reference for me in my career and between us there was and still is a great friendship with which we have shared many moments; together also with Diego Ulissi and Alberto Bettiol".
According to reporting from Gazzetta dello Sport, multiple sources have confirmed that Pozzovivo already has a deal in place with Solution Tech–Vini Fantini, paving the way for his return to the international calendar. His comeback ranks among the most striking stories in recent cycling, especially given the time elapsed since his retirement.
The return would not be long in coming. The Italian press reports his first start will be at the Tour of the Alps, scheduled from the 20th to 24th of April.
As much as we love him ... can this be a good idea?
Might even encourage Froomey ...

I hope he does the Giro.He is constantly popping up and breaking (his own) climbing records around Como, obviously in terrific shape but who knows how that'll relate to the level these days

Hey, mods. Maybe you could... merge the two threads.
Just put the entire content of the other thread in between the old 2014 post and the new posts.
And then there was one.@Armchair Cyclist, we never got this "issue" solved at the time, but perhaps it could be done now?
