I wonder if Boonen overestimated himself or if he just can't deal with not being at his best. Considering where he is right now he should not have been pushing the lead group earlier on as if he was the strongest there.

Honestly I think if Cancellara is truly on form, as he seems to be right now, only Boonen at his best would be able to follow him on the cobbled hills.

Though the fact Sagan gave up rather than trying to gap it on the flat does seem to indicate he's not as strong as before. His biggest strength is making a quick jump into the wheel though, and Cancellara is to good here to do that, this year at least.
