Yes. except Lamperti was disappointing in the TDU.
What you do as requisite training is just that. He won the US Criterium Championships so he know how to ride in fast, sketchy packs and win sprints. This time of year he needs what are upcoming demands: long power miles and likely a little weight loss. PN is ideal for both and gets a young rider familiar with the competition's comparable form.
Matteo found out he can climb better than Remco in the early season. Looking at the Isola 2000 Tour stage in week 3 he can do it in GTs, too. It's just information and training for targets at this point.
Do you think Jonas would throw in the towel if he doesn't win PN?

Currently
Healy is 5th on GC at T-A
Steinhauser 3rd P-N
Alex Baudin 9th P-N

Fingers crossed they can improve those spots.

But Steinhauser isn't much ahead of Vauquelin, so maybe fingers crossed he can hold on to a podium spot.

I was so tense once it looked like Valgren and Alaphilipe broke away and made it interesting.

Am I alone thinking Carapaz wasn't hurting Valgren's chances?

Nobody followed him, so it didn't matter. If he had someone in his wheel, it would have hurt Valgren for sure. The gap wasn't that big in the end. But maybe he would have come to his senses if that was the case.
