Fighting for positions includes contact between riders

just ridiculous.... fighting for position... fighting yeah. go watch wrestling or full contact or so...

Do you realy want your kid to make a dangerous sport even more dangerous with madman acting like that. Did you ever ride a bike in competition?

I remember danish national team using same tactics in small races here in Belgium when i was a junior. That was there only way to ever get a result.:D

Wynants certainly don't get my sympathy when he responds in kind. If you find such behaviour unacceptable, don't do it yourself.

So if someone slaps you in the face, you run away?

It's a human reaction. I think Wynants responded really good. If you have more of a gangstar on a bike, he would beat Terpstra's *** out.

I either hit back and don't complain/whine about it, or I turn the other cheek (and in the case of real violence report it to the police).

If Wynants won't complain, then others will do. I think Gilbert is happy about the fact Terpstra did this.

I'm glad your such a tough guy, but what Terpstra did has nothing to do with road cycling. Ofcourse he can disturb Belkin, but riding to the front and then try to body check Wynants awaybos just ***.

Lol...if this is allowed we would have mayhem in the bunch. Bodychecks everywhere.

And if Belkin thinks it's such a bad thing to do, Wynants shouldn't have retaliated. "He started it" is the lamest excuse ever.

no,he's got a point.Wynanats returned him so he shouldnt complain at all.
I hate those whining cyclist lol

So according to you Wynants should've just let himself be pushed to side and ride behind Terpstras wheel and stop pulling.
He had to defend himself to do his work.
Either he should have retaliated equally and then done is done. Get over it.

Or he shouldn't have retaliated, but have some words with him/yell at him and then complain to the officials after the race.

It's chicken **** to try and do both.
