Personal fave is Paul comp. I'll be sniffing some Road Crank fairly soon for a never ending SS project, but take a look a their Mtn Crank. More cash, but how much do you love bikes?

Cranks with proprietary rings always give me pause. 10, 15 years from now .... will their be ENO rings ?

Shimano's always changing their BCD and BB.

I'm a big fan of 110 BCD cranks and tapered BB's. The most universal bolt circle ... huge choice of rings. You can get a Sugino XD triple and just use one ring..... a little over $100.
