The group will start hesitating and attacking at some point, that's probably the chance for the peloton (if they actually exist) to come back
maybe, but Zimmermann is at home, and tends to be fairly confident in his sprint. Lotto may sacrifice Gualdi.

There's no way Lotto should bank on Zimmermann. Yeah he might be good in a sprint against 60kg climbers in a TdF breakaway but not in this environment.

The only way Lotto wins this is with an attack. But but with the peloton so close they risk losing everything if that group starts losing speed, and it's look like that now

I can see someone on the front blinking and really slowing it down but they have enough of a gap for this to stick

Ok, not gonna lie, I underestimated Zimmermann haha. I knew he could be pretty fast in a smaller group, but still.

Awesome for Gigi himself, definitely a race that was on his bucket list.

And Lotto really need this too. after a good team effort too, it's been a while.

I have questions regarding Troels Tobias Lund's team in this race - seems they didn't chase enough. But hard to know with so little coverage.
