Nothing is hard as Kigali, not just distance, climbs and cobbles, but altitude and air quality. To me this doesn't look as hard as Kigali. Nearly 70k less, 2000m more climbing - and in Kigali the ramps were relentless from start to finish.

Pogi will be the greatest humanitarian by winning the EC and saving everyone from wearing it.
If he has anyone that contribute to maintaining the gap he would be usually smart enough to do that until he doesn't need any help. He has other races to contest so; why overwork? He didn't at Worlds and that seemed to turn out great. Absolutely no point in piling on minutes purely for ego's sake.Looks like Tadez will attack on the last Lerps, it's long enough so he can gain big time ~on~ the climb, not after. Then just maintain a minute lead. It's 75km from finish (a good range for him), but only 125 from start, so some fresh legs may follow him. If he does take 2 or 3 with him, he'll drop them on one of the smaller d'Enfer ramps, no later than the one at 40km. He won't leave it to 25km or 10 km.
His wife made him. This will be the first time ever he rides for the national team as a senior. So I doubt that's the reason.
Belgian team has removed all the spare wheels from the car to make room for spare saddles.I did like this part
Yeah, so why watch this screenplay.Looks like Tadez will attack on the last Lerps, it's long enough so he can gain big time ~on~ the climb, not after. Then just maintain a minute lead. Could Alvarez be able to do what Ganna has done in MSR in recent years as a heavier rider? This circuit is more for climbers than the one in Rwanda. And it's shorter, so Vineggaard should be among the best.
Pedersen wouldn't have done anything here.
I saw this in X, and Héctor Álvarez's performance is impressive.

It depends on how he overcomes the high mileage.Could Alvarez be able to do what Ganna has done in MSR in recent years as a heavier rider?
If neither Tadej or Remco were racing it then I think MVDP would have a smallish chance still as there would be nobody as willing and able to light it up on the climbs from a long way out.It depends on how he overcomes the high mileage.
Del Toro said that San Remo was more difficult for him than mountain classics. The mileage is very noticeable in the performance of some riders.
If Álvarez overcomes it, he could overcome the Cipressa. This circuit would be very tough for Ganna. Van der Poel wouldn't have a chance here either.
I wouldn't give VDP any chance on this course. It's too selective. If neither Tadej or Remco were racing it then I think MVDP would have a smallish chance still as there would be nobody as willing and able to light it up on the climbs from a long way out.
From a viewing perspective I'm glad all three are here, as we (or is it just me?) haven't seen them together in a one-day race before.Vingegaard downplaying his chances.
Vingegaard “I always go for the best possible result but as a team also, that’s the goal, I’m coming out of Vuelta with bit of uncertainty because it’s been a long season and I’ve done two Grand Tours, so you don’t know how it is."

Meanwhile Remco couldn't sound more confident.

“I’m a winner, and I want to ride like one.” Remco Evenepoel doesn’t say it to sound confident. He says it because it’s who he is. On Sunday, the Belgian…www.domestiquecycling.com

Liège 2022.Technically Lombardia 2021, but obviously things were different back then.
